Operations Manager

Tateossian London, the global luxury men’s jewellery brand, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020 has a unique opportunity for a commercial, customer-centric and hands-on Operations Manager to lead all teams.

Reporting into the MD, this is a newly created role, ideal for an entrepreneurial self-starter, who thrives on delivering excellence across departments, and acts as first point of contact for 15 Department Managers.

 Job Purpose 

  • Leads the smooth day to day running of the Company and its over 70 employees
  • Design and implement Operational Strategy to deliver on productivity and efficiency goals
  • Work with management to define strategic goals for each department to generate growth
  • Key communicator between Department Managers and the MD
  • Overseeing, motivating and providing guidance to 20 Department Managers
  • Streamlining and reviewing production processes to increase output without increasing resources
  • Full and regular budget reviews for all departments
  • Design and Implement increased data driven approach to decision taking
  • Manage critical path and coordinate with employees to ensure deadlines are met
  • Meeting deadlines and standards to produce and ship products to the highest standards
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed
  • Review legal and compliance documentations for the Company and provide guidance in line with best practice
  • Manage Intellectual Property Portfolio for the Company
  • Assists with legal and landlord matters relating to Retail Boutiques
  • Promote a working environment that encourages team work, energy and creativity
  • Handle administrative tasks including, but not limited to, reports, memos, letters, travel bookings, business reports, and other ad hoc documents
  • Collaborate with HR in the delivery of individual and team performance management
  • Acts as role model and use initiative to support employee engagement initiatives

  Essential Skills and Experience 

  • At least 7 years experience as a strategic, but hands-on Operations Manager in the fashion sector within a small Head Office in London
  • At least 5 years line management experience with Senior roles in a multi-cultural setting
  • Strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Stable career with an existing or established London business
  • Proven track record in designing, leading and executing business strategies to optimize performance and deliver on growth targets
  • Outstanding time management and ability to constantly re-arrange and prioritize
  • Excellent negotiator for best business deals
  • Outcome driven analytical and reporting skills
  • First class communication skills to mother tongue standard in English with at least one additional language
  • In depth understanding of a wide range of job roles, including, but not limited to Wholesale, Ecommerce, Graphic Design, Stock Control, Quality Assurance
  • Experience in leading culture change of positive recognition where employees can thrive and develop their full potential
  • Flexible and enjoys hands on administrative tasks in supporting a team in ad hoc situations
  • Thinking on your feet and making key decisions quickly where required
  • High level of working independently
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications (Minimum: complex Vlookup and Pivot tables)
  • Flexible attitude and positive approach to change, with a mentality of delivering excellence in all they do
