Distribution Administrator

Responsibilities and duties

  • Coordinate, plan and execute distribution operations as per company procedures; Allocation of wholesale orders; coordinating configurations and shipping;
  • Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle; manage stock levels, delivery times;
  • Be responsible for supervising the pick/packing and shipping of correct products, in the proper quantities, with appropriate packing to ensure customers receive the correct order;
  • Liaise with Packing Team and Shipping Department to allocate work plan for the day;
  • Liaise with Sales & Marketing Department on customers’ orders
  • Ensure that product labels comply with customers’ specifications, create barcodes;
  • Ensure that all additional order/ shipping requirements are fulfilled; Prepare availability report when required; produce and send accurate merchandise information;
  • In- house bespoke systems (Encore)
  • Any other ad hoc duties in line with the needs of the business and ongoing development of the department;
  • Upholding Company Policies and Procedures; Maintaining Company confidentiality and high standards of professionalism;


Skills and Experience required

  • Educated to degree standard, ideally in the field of logistics or supply chain
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Work well under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Work unsupervised and use own initiative as well as working as part of a small team
  • Detail oriented and excellent time management skills
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with different departments
  • Meet deadlines as required by all stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Clear planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to coordinate and control production activities.
  • Hands on approach and willing to get stuck into all aspects of the role
